Class action against the Episcopal Corporations of Halifax & Yarmouth.  People who have been abused by a priest of the former Archdiocese of Halifax, the former Diocese of Yarmouth, and the Archdiocese of Halifax-Yarmouth between April 14, 1954 and March 31, 2020 can make a formal claim to receive benefits from the recently approved $10 million settlement. The Claims Period will run for 12 months: December 14, 2022 until December 14, 2023.

As part of the class action the Archdiocese and our parishes are required by law to post notification of the Claims Period starting on Monday, December 19, 2022 until December 14, 2023.
